Daily tidbits

It was a waterproof mascara day.  My head aches and my eyes are red, puffy and tired.  I can't hide the fact that I have spent much of the day crying...but my mascara is still on.  (The marathon emotional roller coaster continues....)

I may have purposely listened to Christmas music today on the radio...something I usually am very strict about NOT doing until December.  Normally I shun FM 100.3 and 106.5..the stations that start playing Christmas music the day after Halloween.  "Save Thanksgiving!" has been my rallying cry.  But something about the magic and cheer of Christmas music appealed to me today...November or no.

Lilian called to me this morning from her bed..."Mom, come wake me up!"  Instead of getting her up, I crawled in next to her in the little twin bed.  Morning breath notwithstanding, I snuggled that little girl good and tight.  She was rather delighted when I said yes to her suggestion of a few stories.  I think we should start the morning that way more often.

Terry's chocolate oranges are back in season.  I found some at Smith's today and, after doing a little happy dance which had fellow shoppers looking at me strangely, loaded a couple of them into my cart.

A conversation...
Me:  Rebekah, did you send a happy birthday message to your uncle yesterday on Facebook?
Rebekah:  No.
Me:  Why not?
Rebekah{Defiantly} Because Mom, I just don't send people messages on Facebook!
Bryan:  I support that policy!  However, the phone company says you are setting new records for texting....
Rebekah{Sheepishly} Oh.
