Introducing my daughter to Mr. Darcy

Julianne and I spent two days watching the five hour A&E version of "Pride and Prejudice" this past weekend. And get this...it was Julianne's idea! I didn't persuade, cajole, coax or in any way talk her into it. For years Bryan has been talking excitedly about the day when he can watch "Lord of the Rings" with his son. How he feels about that is how I feel about sharing "Pride and Prejudice" with my daughters. It was like we hit some kind of milestone sitting in front of the TV together. (And how funny is it that someone has labeled this picture the "tan breeches moment"? As opposed to the "wet, white button shirt moment"? Or the "black formal dinner coat moment"? All of which, of course, are very nice "moments" for the handsome Mr. Darcy...)

I love Pride and Prejudice too and am excited to share it with Anna someday. Sounds like a fun couple of days! :)

Och! Happiest mommy momment ever!!! I love it!

And, it's TOTALLY the tan breeches moment! Even if the picture hadn't loaded right away, by the title, I would have known exactly where that moment was in the movie. Preow. I've re-watched that scene many more times than I've seen the rest of the show. Ahh. Good times.

I don't think I have ever watched that whole thing. Good for you and Julianne. I may have to borrow it someday!

I love it. I too noticed the title of the picture. The label was a very Austen-fan-esque type label don't you think? I'm not traditionally an Austen fan but I will admit, those hours while I watched Pride and Predjudice flew by! Of course it would be Julianne who would share that interest with you.

Ha! I believe you have read my P&P post recently. :) I made my hubby watch the 2 hour version with me. I think I'll have to try the 5 hour again soon. :) Have you seen Lost in Austen yet? Quite funny, especially if you know the Colin Firth back and forth. But, I think I'd preview it before watching it with Julianne. :)
