Target Practice

Bryan let me tag along on a shooting trip Saturday evening. We headed up the canyon and set up targets on the side of the hill. I got to try a suppressor/silencer for the first time. You know when you read in books about guns with suppressors making a "pftt" noise? Yeah, they really do.

Does anyone else think the contradiction between me holding a big gun and wearing a peace sign on my shirt is funny?

I do think it is a little disturbing to see you holding that big gun! Yes, your shirt is pretty ironic when you are holding that gun.

Ahh, But Uncle Craig would say that allowing the populace to own guns is what insures peace, so no contradiction at all.
Shouldn't you wear combat books when you go shooting?

Mommy

Was it heavy? The gun with added silencer looks really big. I probably wouldn't have been able to hold it steady for too long...I'm such a wimp!

These are great photos!
Tom really really wants us to go shooting. Someone at church is offering a class for a concealed carrying permit and he has signed us up for fun, just so we can go shooting. I don't plan on us owning guns, but he sure is excited about it!

See you are "keeping the peace". That's not a contradiction . . .
