I suppose I should look on the bright side of things and be grateful that Lilian and her various friends are using their imaginations, interacting with each other and taking in the fresh air rather than sitting on their pockets in front of the TV or computer. Right? Right?!
This past week....
*Daily mud pies....which translates into not only filthy feet, hands and clothes, but also floors, bathroom sinks and doorknobs. And a constantly muddy front porch. Not to mention finding many of my kitchen utensils and cups buried partway in my flower beds.
*Play Doh and Moon Dough mixed together and all over the kitchen floor. (And yes, believe it or not, Doh and Dough...they are spelled differently for each product. I actually looked it up to make sure...)
*Curtains accidentally pulled down from my sitting room. I'm not talking about the rod with the panels just falling on the floor...I'm talking about the brackets completely ripped from the wall. (Sigh.)
*The linen closet unloaded onto the floor in the hallway to make way for "beds" on the shelves.
Not to mention the un-pictured bikes and trikes on the trampoline, the cardboard boxes in the driveway surrounded by markers and crayons as Lilian and friends created a box city and the paint (thankfully washable) all over the kitchen table. I guess I should be grateful, if not a little surprised, that I don't have a tent made out of love sacs, blankets and pillows downstairs....that's usually a popular one.
